It’s important to get your cleaning chores done as fast as possible. We’re here to help you do it the right way. If you’re some one who commit these common errors, then you just might be wasting more time scrubbing the wrong way around. Read for we are discussing the common mistakes you should stay away from.

  1. You don’t sort laundry

Pre-sorting clothes before doing the laundry is actually a time-saver. Some people find sorting out the laundry by an individual as it saves a lot of time, especially if your kid’s clothes have similar colors and fabrics. Make sure to separate your lint catchers from lint givers because if you don’t you’ll be spending way more time later trying to get rid of the lint from your fuzzy fabrics.

  1. You don’t follow the top to bottom rule

As for most people, vacuuming can be the least favorite cleaning chore. Hence, you could be tempted to finish it off first and then carry on with your other chores. But if you’re going to be dusting your top shelf and fan after you’ve finished vacuuming your carpet, then dirt is going to most likely fall on your freshly cleaned up carpet and you would spend more time vacuuming your carpet all over again.

  1. You clean windows on a sunny day

Cleaning your windows on a sunny day isn’t a great idea. The warm sun might actually dry up your cleaner even before you wipe it away. This would cause streaks and you would have to start over.

  1. You wash dishes before you put them in the dishwasher

Although, it is important to scrape off any food scraps into the bin, you shouldn’t waste your time rinsing or hand-washing the dishes before you put them into a dishwasher. According to research, rinsing or washing your dishes before putting them into a dishwasher doesn’t leave your dishes any cleaner. Simply, put them in the dishwasher and allow it to do the job.

  1. Your family doesn’t bother to remove shoes at the door

Make sure every member of your family removes their shoes at the door before they get dirt inside the house. Dirt from outside can build up over time; hence get into the habit of going shoeless inside. Get more doormats as these can catch dirt way before it reaches your well cleaned carpets.

  1. You clean up pet hair with a lint roller

Though lint rollers are handy, they aren’t great for heavy-duty jobs. If you’re looking to clean up a fur covered couch, then a damp rubber glove will do the trick. It helps you to easily whisk all the fur away.

  1. You forget that your cleaners require cleaning too

Yes, your cleaning tools need cleaning too. Dirty mops and cloths don’t do their job well if they aren’t cleaned. You’ll just be spending more time working harder with no great results at all. It’s important to replace and clean your cleaning equipment as well.
